Here are 5 habits which every entrepreneur should develop which I put together from experience. They work for me and I hope that they work for you too.
- Have breakfast: Nutritionists say this is a good way to start the day. I say, if you get sidetracked during the day and only get to snack or land up missing lunch entirely, at you started your day properly fuelled.
Don’t go straight to your email: You’ll get hooked and not begin your real tasks. Treat your email inbox like an old-fashioned in-tray and tackle it a few times in the day without distraction. Put it on your to-do list for the day.
Start your day tackling urgent and important projects or tasks which you have listed the evening before. (See number 5)
Put your phone out of sight. In order to be efficient and effective, you need to work without distraction. Putting your phone out of sight, for e.g. in a draw, can stop you from being distracted by the notifications.
Before you finish off your day, look t what you need to achieve the next day and prepare to start your day with these tasks. Look at what was achieved that day and make sure that any unfinished items are completed first the next day.
